? Manufactured from high perfomance 6 micron glass filament yarns,
silica fabrics are closely woven to produce a soft, durable and
flexible fabric that chemically leached to leave a content of 96%
silicon dioxide. It can be readily treated with silicon adhesives
and cured at high temperature in special furnaces to enhance the
adherence and curing of silicon for long life of the tapes. Base of
this fabric is unique fabric specially selected for this
application to offer thermal and electrical resistance at elevated
temperatures at 1800 f in continuous service and excursion
temperatures to 3000 f. They can be then sized to the custom
requirements depending upon the utility and service. Its properties
includes resistant to most chemicals although contact with
hydrofluoric acids, strong alkalis, caustics and live steam should
be avoided; non-combustible; have a low thermal conductivity; and
suitable for use at temperatures of up to 1800 f continuous and
will withstand high temperatures for short periods up to 3000 f.
Its specifications are colour-milky white; thickness- 1 and 1.5 mm
thick; standard width available - 2" and 4"; roll length - 10 and
25 m (custom sizes are available on request); fabric weight - 600
gsm with satin weave finish; silica content - 2%, and tolerance -
1%. It can be applied in high temperature electric cables, hose and
panel and equipement insulation and protectio
